So you've decided to join and you want to make sure you know the steps you have to take? Well, this is definitely the place to start! This quick guide will be able to help you follow the right path and get you roleplaying quickly!

The Basics
So, you've had a glance around now but the first thing you really need to do is have a good read of our Rules page. This way you can get a good grasp of what to expect from us and what we can expect from you. It should answer the most basic questions you have if nothing else.

If there are other questions that you feel need answering, you can certainly post them in our Questions Board where either a staff member - or someone else, even - will hopefully be able to answer your needs. Also feel free to ask questions in the cbox, that's what it's there for.

Don't forget to have a quick glance over of the Plot, which though generic, gives an overview of how our site works. The other place to have a look is in the Pokemon thread, to have a look at the way Pokemon work here on Written Journey.

Creating Your Character
If you have an idea in mind for what you want, the first thing you should check out is the Faceclaim List to make sure the face you want to use isn't taken. After you've checked that they are available, feel free to check out the Application Rules where the physical application is also located. Make sure to read them, as they will outline the easiest way to get accepted to the site!

You should also have a look at the PokeWorld Professions where you can take a gander at all the different "jobs" your character can have. Trainers, Breeders, Gym Leaders and more, take a look!

If you're looking to take an important position, like a Gym Leader spot, check and make sure that they are available on the Roles List.

If you're a bit lost and don't have an idea, feel free to have a look at our Wanted List where people will post characters that they want made to go along with their own. Siblings, family members or just lifelong friends! All of these things work well for ideas too, and they might have ideas for faceclaims or interesting traits that will spark your muse.

I'm accepted, now what?
Well first of all, congratulations and welcome to the community. We don't have the need for you to make an official claim on your character's face as the admins will handle that, but do make a check to make certain that they're on the claim lists.

Then, you can start to make some threads. Your character can go anywhere - consider there to be the possibility no matter where you are, that there is some way or another to get to all of the regions. You aren't limited to one place at all!

You can also start to create some plots. Whether via IMs or the onsite plot pages, feel free ot start chatting and creating ideas within ideas and now you're all settled in!
