Think your character through when you are creating them. Try not to create a carbon copy of another character on TV or an exact replica of your playby. Certainly try to use traits that your playby seems to reflect, but be individual and definitely do not copy from another member.

If you are unsure about whether or not you really want a canon character, please do not take them. If you aren't one-hundred percent eager, the chances are that you are going to neglect playing them at a later date while someone else may want to play them desperately. The reverse being if someone is already playing your favorite canon, maybe considering plotting with their roleplayer for a twin brother or some other interesting plot.

When creating your character's team, think about the way the game mechanics work. Your team may have six Pokemon on it, and you may have as many Pokemon as you would like in your PC. If your character is a beginning trainer with many pseudo-legendaries, we will be asking questions, but also think about how rare some Pokemon can be. If you would only rarely encounter this Pokemon, perhaps make sure you don't have one of each in the box. Also use discretion based on what your character does and what their goals are - a capturer would have more Pokemon in the PC than someone desperate to be number one.

Try to think about your character's personality with their team. If they favour cute Pokemon, they might not have some of the stronger ones around. Do think hard when you are creating, it'll give you more to work with.

When applying, try to put as much effort as you can into the application. If you make an effort to begin with, you're more likely to play the character after it is finished. The more effort you put in, the better we get to know your character too, and will want to play with them.

Focus on your spelling and grammar in the app. It is our first opportunity to see how you write and what we consider when we decide on acceptance. Do use the 'quality over quantity' as the basis of your creation, but don't skimp out on the quantity either!

Feel free to experiment with the application. If you want to create your own application, play with it. As long as you have the basic information we need, we're happy to see what you can come up with.

It sounds like something very little, but the one thing we ask is uniform is your application title. We would like it to be "LASTNAME, firstname" so that when sorted, they will all look the same. Thank you for complying with this.
